This project was all about maximising every available opportunity for additional space. The client wanted to add some space on the second floor with loft conversion as well as on the ground floor with an extension to the kitchen.
On the second floor we worked with the architect to convert the existing loft with a rear box dormer. It was designed to fit within the original character of the house and allow the loft conversion to benefit from the natural light.
In addition to this, we worked on an infill extension to the rear to create an open plan kitchen/dining area to the ground floor. Again, this maximised the opportunity for additional space and produced an additional space that allowed natural light to fill the room.
Both additions to the original structure maximised the space, providing a large family home within a city.
